As the name suggests, this option code was added to all E38 750i and 750iL models that were later converted to by Alpina into the Alpina B12. This total includes both the B12 5.7 and B12 6.0. A genuine E38 Alpina B12 can be identified by the VIN, starting with WAP, a crossed out BMW VIN, starting with WBA, and a numbered plaque mounted close to the sunroof controls.
290 E38s were produced with this option code.
